Product Description

Micro Blood Collection Tube PP 0.5 / 1 mL Neonatal Capillary Sampling

Product Overview

Micro Blood Collection Tubes are designed for blood sampling when conventional venous collection is difficult or when only a small specimen volume is available. They are suitable for newborns, infants, ICU patients with fragile veins and patients with severe burns who may not be suitable for routine venous blood collection. Made from PP, the standard micro tubes are non-vacuum tubes and use a collection principle consistent with vacuum blood collection tubes of the corresponding type. Available with different additives and cap colors, they provide flexible options for hematology, plasma and serum sample preparation.

Micro Tube Options

Variant Additive / Type Cap Color Size
Lithium Heparin Anticoagulant Green 0.5 / 1 mL
Separation Gel + Clot Activator Serum Preparation Yellow 0.5 / 1 mL
Clot Activator Rapid Serum Preparation Orange 0.5 / 1 mL
No Additive Natural Clotting Red 0.5 / 1 mL
EDTA K2 Hematology Purple 0.5 / 1 mL

Extended Micro Tube

The extended version is designed for selected Sysmex and Mindray hematology analyzers, with a rounded tube opening and U-shaped blood collection base to support smoother sample collection and transfer.

The tube can be used with manual sampling systems and is compatible with selected analyzers including Mindray BC-7500, BC-5300, BC-5800, BC-6800, Rayto 7222 / 8222, and Sysmex XS-500i, XS-800i, 1800 and 2100. Selected models such as XS-1000i, 900i, XNB2 and XNB4 are stated to support direct loading.
